Christmas Markets

When the cold and darkness set in, Europe seeks the warmth and light of Christmas markets, filled with handmade decorations and the aroma of roasted chestnuts, gingerbread cookies and hot drinks. They date back to the 16th century when they were created with the excuse of gathering in a cosier place and thus preparing for the harsh winter.
